Los Angeles, CA (October 27, 2009) – SmallCart Systems, a provider of optimized IT infrastructure solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with Symantec–a global leader in security, storage, and systems management solutions–to integrate Symantec’s Altiris IT lifecycle management products into SmallCart Systems’ solutions developed for small-to-medium sized businesses. SmallCart Systems will bundle consulting and implementation services, and other third-party software where appropriate, with Altiris endpoint management technology to create a small-scale ITIL capability that delivers systems stability and security, lower costs, and easy updates and migrations.

SmallCart Systems CEO Jon Unger describes the resulting synergy: “Historically, large enterprise software publishers have struggled to service SMBs cost-effectively. As a result, these customers have higher IT costs and significant competitive disadvantage. We have streamlined implementation of the Altiris solution for SMBs to create a small-scale ITIL capability that meets the needs of a huge market.”

Altiris Total Management Suite is the industry’s most comprehensive tool set for managing IT infrastructure. SmallCart Systems will wield these tools to reduce the cost and complexity to SMBs of owning and managing IT assets, including desktops, servers, notebooks, and handheld devices. The SmallCart SMB Value Solution will reduce our clients’ operational costs, increase operational efficiencies, and create long-term stability and cost effectiveness.

The SmallCart SMB Value Solution has been proven effective in customer trials and is now available for all small-to-medium sized businesses that need to control IT costs and improve performance.

Los Angeles—SmallCart Systems, a nationally recognized IT consulting firm based in Los Angeles, will be exhibiting at L.A.’s Largest Mixer, Southern California’s largest networking event, on July 23, 2009 at the Shrine Auditorium Expo Center.

SmallCart Systems will be among the more than 250 exhibitors showcasing their services to an estimated 3,000 influential business owners in the greater L.A. area. The event will expose business owners to a multitude of services and industries that help them better manage their businesses.

“This event is a very valuable business tool and networking opportunity,” said Pat Clark, Membership Manager, Los Angeles Area Chamber. “Some groups have begun to plan for it well in advance because it allows them the opportunity to meet new contacts, businesses and members from neighboring communities such as Long Beach, the San Fernando Valley and Santa Monica.”

SmallCart Systems will be demonstrating how companies of any size can incorporate information technology planning for customer support as well as internal management of servers, software and hardware. SmallCart specializes in Information Technology Infrastructure Libraries (ITIL), a framework that tells a business how best to organize their IT departments. SmallCart helps companies improve upon and refine their existing information technology process. That could include setting up a back-up server in case of disaster or helping companies improve their customer support centers.

Focused on improving existing enterprise service support and delivery processes through best practice consultation and software tool implementation, SmallCart is trusted by many Fortune 500 companies.

“We will be at L.A.’s Largest Mixer to showcase how our consulting services can benefit not only large information technology departments, but smaller technology departments as well,” said SmallCart CEO Jon Unger. “Our services have shown to reduce operational technology costs up to 40 percent in many larger organizations. Saving on expenditures in technology means a lot to small businesses.”

The event is sponsored by: Chambers of Commerce: Arcadia, Boyle Heights, California Junior, Century City, Covina, Culver City, East Los Angeles, Greater El Sereno, Greater Lakewood, Greater San Fernando, Hollywood, Irwindale, LA Junior, La Verne, Long Beach Area, Los Angeles Area, Miracle Mile, Pasadena, Regional Black, Regional Chamber of San Gabriel Valley, Santa Monica, Sherman Oaks, Southern California Black, United Chambers of the San Fernando Valley, Universal City/North Hollywood, West Hollywood, and West Los Angeles.
The CEO of an Information Technology Consulting Company in Los Angeles feels that improving the lives of individuals and helping charities is more than just writing a check. For the past month, Jon Unger of SmallCart Systems, has been training to run a 10K race for the Live Strong Charity that will benefit cancer survivors worldwide. SmallCart Systems takes participating in the Los Angeles community to the next level by encouraging it's employees and executives to actively help charities and those in need.

Los Angeles, CA August 22, 2008 — On August 31, 2008 SmallCart Systems’s CEO Jon Unger will join numerous runners from the Los Angeles area as well as runners in 25 cities worldwide as they take part in the Nike sponsored event the 10+ Human Race. Nike is holding what is considered to be the world’s largest running event, also thought to be the ultimate experience for any runner. To further enhance the quality of the race runners can choose to support one of the local charities taking part in the event and help improve the lives of others.

Mr. Unger has chosen to support the Live Strong Charity, an organization dedicated to helping cancer victims through efforts such as advancing research and improving quality of life. This particular charity was founded in 1997 by cyclist and cancer survivor Lance Armstrong and the mission is to “unite people to fight cancer believing that unity is strength, knowledge is power and attitude is everything.” Though cancer survivors in the U.S. have grown to 10.5 million, statistics show that by 2008’s end 1.4 million people will be affected.

Unger’s organization, SmallCart Systems, is a Los Angeles, CA based Information Technology consulting firm that is focused on ‘improving existing enterprise service support & delivery processes” through high-quality consultation services and software tool implementation. The firm has built its reputation around their extensive experience, quality solutions and overall ability to simply get the job done. Much of their success can be attributed to the fact that their technical consultants possess the capabilities to comprehend the needs of their clients as well as the technical skills required to ensure that project implementation meets the needs of the entire organization. This passion for success has now been taken to a new level as the company has placed an importance on advocacy within their community.

Unger has spent the past month dedicating much of his time to the event by raising charitable funds and physical preparation, while maintaining his daily responsibilities at SmallCart Systems. When asked about the seemingly overwhelming activity Unger replied, “This month’s struggle to get into shape for the run has been a challenge; however, it falls short of the achievements made by patients everyday by keeping up the faith and fighting cancer.”

The Human Race 10K will be his first 10K race and is a significant distance longer than OC Marathon’s 5K he ran in 2006. The CEO is very excited about the event and stresses his belief that it truly takes more than a simple monetary donation to be considered an active advocate within your community- taking part in community based activities such as the Human Race 10K allows you to actually see that your actions make a difference in the lives of others.

If you would like more information about Mr. Unger and his participation of the Nike Human Race you can contact SmallCart Systems at (800) 743-4974, via email, or through their website at http://www.smallcart.com.
